Brum has always been a big part of my life. Being a local lad I know Birmingham really well.

My parents always shopped in the Bull Ring and around town and ever since I've been an adult you'll always see me out and about, whether that be around Broad Street, The Arcadian or in any of the wonderful bars or restaurants around cathedral square. There's no vibe like it!

I learned my radio trade in Castle Vale at what was then Vale FM and I even got a taste of life inside the original BRMB after I impressed the bosses in their Search For A Star. Big changes at the station came at the same time though and I missed out on becoming part of the team at that time.

I still admired and loved listening to the likes of Les Ross, Phil Upton and Carlos to name just a few and aspired to one day be a superstar just like them.

A huge fan of the station right up until it left the city, it's a huge honour to be able to bring the name back to this amazing, unique and diverse city and I will do my best to do Brum proud.
